The Office of Early Childhood and Out-of-School Learning and Indiana Afterschool Network invite you to apply for the Build, Learn, Grow Scholarship. This scholarship delivers aid to families serving as our state’s frontline heroes through the creation of approximately 50,000 early childhood and school-age scholarships. These scholarships will cover up to 80% of a child's early care and education, summer learning, or out of school program tuition.
Eligibility Criteria (For more information about eligibility criteria, please visit Brighter Futures):
The provider must be currently eligible to accept Child Care and Development Fund (“CCDF”) subsidies. If your program is not CCDF eligible, contact your state licensing consultant to get started.
One adult in the household must work in an essential business such as health care, human services, education, retail, restaurant and food service, essential infrastructure, media, manufacturing and logistics, religious and charitable organizations and many others. A full, detailed list can be found here.
The family’s income level must be at or above 128% of Federal Poverty Level. If the family falls below the 128% federal poverty line, the family is not eligible for the scholarship but is eligible for CCDF. Families who work in essential businesses are fast-tracked through the CCDF process, and they will not be placed on the waitlist. This process applies to ages 0-12. Visit Early Ed Connect to apply.
